A nationwide project aimed at training municipal managers for the period of Ukraine's recovery

For whom: representatives of temporary occupied, de-occupied and war-affected communities

Purpose:
to develop effective solutions for restoring the potential of affected communities

How it works: we provide training on effective recovery tools by combining the pre-war experience of urban transformation with the best international practices of territorial development
“Community Recovery Academy” is a new global project that brings together the experience of the Association of Ukrainian Cities, the NGO “ Mariupol Reborn”, leading universities and international organizations to ensure high-quality training of municipal teams.

The war unleashed by russia has destroyed far more than just buildings and infrastructure, but also the sustainable economic and social ties that used to determine vital functions of many communities. These global challenges need to be addressed at the national and global levels, and our country is putting great efforts into this every day. In parallel, given the possibilities of decentralization and the responsibility of communities for their own future, it is municipal teams that should and can join the important recovery processes that are already underway.
